One activity Little Man has enjoyed is making "Cheerio Bracelets". This is great for toddlers because it works those fine motor skills. But what is a Cheerio Bracelet? It's just Cheerios (or any other round similar cereal (like Froot Loops) strung onto pipe cleaners (chenille sticks) and twisted into a bracelet. **Before getting started, make sure your child has enough control to hold the pipe cleaner away from their face. I do not recommend giving infants or younger toddlers pipe cleaners because the ends can be very sharp and can severely injure a younger child. Please use your own discretion. It's simple! Supplies:
Directions: 1. Pour cheerios in a bowl. Give your toddler more than you think they'll need. (I now understand why my kiddos school food art comes home with only a few things glued on... he eats most of them!) .
4. When you're done putting on Cheerios, twist the ends over each other to make a complete circle - like the picture on the left. (If you twist them out, like how you twist tie treat bags, the pipe cleaners can poke and scratch your little one - the picture on the right.)
