Buy Local or Bye, Local! As we prepare for Small Business Saturday and the holiday shopping season ahead, I wanted to highlight some of the awesome local small businesses around Las Cruces that we like to support. Each day this week I'll be featuring one local business. Kind Bread Co.Is there anything better than walking into a bakery? Like really... I'll wait... NO, right?! You get the same happy, warm feeling when walking into Kind Bread Co. They are a small, local bakery which opened in 2019 and moved into their retail location on North Solano this year. As their Instagram states they are "All sourdough, all the time". Cookies, bread, bagels, pastries, pretzels, you name it, ALL SOURDOUGH! Yes! You read that right... COOKIES!!! I'll get to the other goods later, but the COOKIES! OMG! Mason and I devoured one each in the car before we even made it home!! They are perfectly chewy and crunchy, and have a delightful hint of salt which goes so well with the amount of chocolate. I'm drooling just thinking of them now. I bought our family of 3 a half dozen... that was silly. I needed MORE! LOL. We've also tried their Rosemary Sourdough loaf and their pretzels. Both are AH-mazing!! I used the sourdough to make grilled cheese sandwiches, toast, and even garlic bread. It was so good and stayed fresh in the fridge for awhile. The pretzels were devoured once we got home - I made a beer cheese beschamel for them (a fancy cream sauce, lol) and they were a perfect pair. I was so happy when my hubby "wasn't hungry" for his full pretzel *wink* Regularly they are only open Tuesdays and Fridays, 1pm-6pm. This week for Thanksgiving they are only open Wednesday! That's why I'm telling you NOW! Head over there Wednesday and get some homemade goodies for Thanksgiving. You can also pre-order on their website, but I always forget, lol. #mombrain It's also too late at the time of this post to pre-order, sorry y'all. But I'll see you there soon *wink*
